Jon is responsible for the strategic development of The Shearline Group. With over 25 years’ experience working at Shearline, Jon knows the factories inside out. Leading by example, Jon values honesty and openness, and this is reflected in the ethos of the Group.
Outside of Shearline, Jon spends many an hour in his home workshop restoring one thing or another and enjoys attending Steam Rallies.
Dawn is responsible for the Financial Compliance across The Shearline Group. Dawn’s passion for data analysis is key to driving the efficiency improvements within the factories. The tight knit Shearline community combined with the fact that ‘no two days are ever the same’ keeps Dawn interested and motivated.
When not number crunching, Dawn will be busy renovating her house, keeping fit at a ((B))OUNCE class or curled up with a good book.
With over 30 years of HR experience under her belt, Hilary is responsible for the entire employee life cycle across The Shearline Group. The role is broad, and Hilary enjoys the variety that it brings. The camaraderie within the factories, despite the inevitable pressures of a busy manufacturing environment, is what makes Hilary proud to work for Shearline.
Away from work, Hilary enjoys spending time with her family, practising alternative therapies, and being involved in her local community activities.
John Pease
Lead Technical Sales EngineerJohn is responsible for generating new quotes for both our existing and new customers and dealing with any technical queries that arise. With over 25 years’ experience in tooling and assembly, John takes a keen focus on quoting the larger assembly jobs which incorporate all the facets of The Shearline Group.
Outside of work, John is kept on his toes by his young family, has an interest in classic vehicles and enjoys tinkering with his own classic car.
Neil Marshall
Technical Sales EngineerA time served engineer with 20 years’ experience under his belt at Shearline, Neil enjoys speaking to customers and understanding their requirements before putting a quote together. Neil’s considerable experience in CNC precision machining equips him with an ability to resolve any issues with production when they occur.
A fair-weather golfer, Neil enjoys the summer when he can get out on the course and if it’s raining, you’ll find him in the pub!
Nigel Miller
Quoting and Fabrication EngineerNigel is a seasoned Sheet Metal Engineer with decades of experience in the industry. Renowned for his thorough approach, Nigel excels in quoting and fabricating high quality sheet metal components. His hands on experience in various manufacturing processes, makes him an invaluable asset to our team.
Outside of the factory, Nigel enjoys spending time with his family, and when his grandchildren aren’t keeping him busy he is likely to be found in his allotment tending to his home grown vegetables!
Claire is responsible for overseeing the Sales Team and is passionate about providing good quality customer service (and loathes bad customer service herself!) The moment you pick up the phone and hear Claire’s friendly voice, you’ll instinctively know that your project is in good hands.
Claire loves all things fitness and wellbeing related and enjoys being out in the fresh air – either taking her dog for a walk or going for a walk/run.
Emma Littlechild
Account ManagerWith a background in customer service, Emma is dedicated to ensuring our customers receive an unparalleled service. Her knack for understanding customer needs along with her proactive communication, ensures all projects run smoothly,
With many interests outside of Shearline, Emma is kept busy caring for her donkeys, going to the gym and enjoys all things arty!
Shannen is responsible for managing some of Shearline’s key customer accounts. Customer service is Shannen’s strength, and she will always go the extra mile to ensure that her customer requests are met.
Outside of work, Shannen is very social and enjoys spending time wandering the shops in Cambridge – it’s her guilty habit!
Toby Sheridan-Brown
Account ManagerToby has previous experience working with customers so is confident he can bring good skills over to this role. He enjoys being kept busy at work!
Outside of work Toby enjoys being out in the fresh air – mainly going for walks with his partner by the river in Ely. Often kept busy by watching football – he also plays it every now and then with friends and family. Spending time with his family and partner is what he enjoys doing most.
Amanda’s knowledge of the precision engineering industry stands her in good stead to promote The Shearline Group’s services.
With a passion for quick, clear communication – all new customer enquiries are dealt with swiftly: from the initial enquiry to the quoting stage through to customer delivery updates.
Outside of Shearline, Amanda loves spending time with her young daughter and plays competitively in her local netball league.
Hope Brown
Quality ManagerWith a quality background in the medical device industry, Hope joined Shearline in 2021 and now oversees the operations within the Quality Department across The Shearline Group. Hope is passionate about handling any customer quality concerns promptly and her natural analytical and problem-solving ability ensures that the root cause is always determined, and proper controls are put in place to prevent reoccurrences.
Outside of work, Hope loves all things creative and enjoys weekends away exploring the UK in her campervan.
Amy Reed
Quality Manager (maternity cover)Amy is responsible for the Quality team during Hope’s maternity leave. Her commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction is evident in every project she oversees.
Working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Amy has a natural interest in the world of manufacturing – design, analysis, systems and efficiencies.
In her free time, Amy plays competitively in a local ladies football team and is trying to get a Shearline football team together!
With over 25 years’ service working for The Shearline Group, Dom manages all facets of the busy assembly department, ensuring both delivery and quality expectations are met. His excellent technical expertise allows him to resolve any issues that arise, and he enjoys passing on his knowledge to the other members of the team.
Dom has family in Italy and loves travelling to the Ligurian coast and enjoys long, coastal walks when time allows.
Simon Cooper
Production Manager – Machine ShopA time served engineer with 40 years CNC machining and programming experience; Simon has been with The Shearline Group since 2010. Responsible for overseeing production and managing the team within Shearline’s busy CNC machine shop, Simon enjoys the variety of work that is manufactured and the fast-paced working environment.
When he is not in the factory, Simon enjoys fishing in the great outdoors.
With over 20 years’ experience working for The Shearline Group, Lee’s Sheet Metal knowledge is extensive. The fast-paced nature of sub-contract engineering alongside identifying and implementing departmental improvements is what Lee really enjoys about the role. Although his current role isn’t as hands on as it used to be, Lee still enjoys getting stuck in when required.
Lee is a big fan of Shearline’s working pattern and enjoys three-day weekends, every week!
Kirsty Kiddle
Planner – Machine ShopKirsty’s meticulous organisation ensures that all orders going through the busy machine shop remain on track. Ask Kirsty about any part number and, within seconds, she can tell you which machine it’s running on, how long it has left to run and what the next ops are to get it out the door!
Kirsty started working for The Shearline Group in 2012 and enjoys the variety of the products manufactured and the fact that no two days are ever the same.
An avid fan of all things crafty, Kirsty spends her spare time making and selling her papercrafts.
Leah Mann
Planner – FabricationsLeah is responsible for planning the workload of the busy Fabrications department. With a calm approach, Leah enjoys talking to the engineers and working with their different skills sets to ensure the smooth flow of work from the initial contract review stage through to despatch. Leah enjoys the friendly atmosphere within the Shearline Group and the fact that everyone is always willing to help.
Away from the factory, creativity is Leah’s strong point – a skilled baker and an interior design enthusiast.
Diane Crossfield
BuyerBeing part of The Shearline Group since 2017, Diane is responsible for raising Purchase Orders and co-ordinating Shearline’s trusted sub-contractors. Diane is passionate about cost savings and works closely with all departments to mitigate costs wherever possible.
A keen gardener, Diane loves the great outdoors and spends her free time walking, cycling, sailing or fly-fishing.
Rosie loves a challenge – the more obscure the material request, the better! Responsible for sourcing new materials at competitive prices, Rosie supports the Technical Engineering and Production departments. Rosie’s industry knowledge helps with the daily stream of material and expediting requests.
Family time is important to Rosie, and she also enjoys gardening, vintage aircraft, and antiques (especially from the Art Deco era).
With over 20 years’ experience working within Shearline’s busy Stores & Despatch area, Andrew is the ‘go to’ person for everything related to the flow of goods in and out of the factory. The fact employees within The Shearline Group always pull together to resolve issues is the number one reason Andrew enjoys coming to work.
Andrew is a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys touring Europe on his BMW. He’s also raised thousands for charity over the years and can be spotted dressed as Santa delivering treats to local care homes and hospices over the festive period.
