We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager either on a part-time or full-time basis to lead our marketing initiatives at The Shearline Group. This role is an opportunity to take charge of digital marketing, creative content creation, and budget management while ensuring our messaging reflects the essence of our values. We are looking for someone with a strong can-do attitude who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo and inspire change to improve the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy & Campaigns
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Plan, execute, and analyse multi-channel campaigns.

  • Collaborate with sales divisions and HR for seamless execution.

  • Oversee SEO, SEM, email, and social media efforts.

  • Develop and manage cost-effective marketing budgets.

Turner

We need a highly skilled CNC Turner to programme, set and run CNC machines with Fanuc based control system. The successful applicants should have served an apprenticeship or gained a high level of experience in machining.

For this particular section of our Turning department you will need experience of some if not all of the following types of machines; Driven Tool, Chuck and Bar.

You must be able to work to tight tolerances and be responsible for the quality of your own work.

You must be able to read and understand complex drawings and have a good eye for detail.

The ability to work well within a team and have good problem-solving ideas is also essential.

Although you will be working as part of a team you will need to work on your own initiative, with minimal supervision.

CNC Miller – Programmer/Setter/Operator

We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to operate a variety of 3 axis vertical milling machines.

The ideal candidate should have aspirations to develop their career as advancement into the section leader for this machining centre, in the future, is desirable.

You will need to be able to program complex parts both at the machine or on an offline CAD system (OneCNC).

You must be able to read and understand complex drawings and have a good eye for detail.

The ability to work well within a team and have good problem-solving ideas is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Review parts produced, drawings or instructions to understand required specifications.
  • Be responsible for own quality recording outputs to drawing specifications.
  • Monitor machine while working to achieve optimum outputs.
  • Always looking for continuous improvement in all processes.

Engineering Apprenticeships for 2024

Based on the Cambridgeshire Business Park, in Ely, we are a well-established, sub-contract Engineering Company supplying components to the aerospace, automotive, medical and hi-tech industries.

This is an exciting opportunity in conjunction with a local College to complete an Apprenticeship in Engineering, which will give you a good basis for building your future career.

You could be working in any of the following areas:

  • CNC Machining
  • Welding and Fabrication
  • Assembly
  • Laser Cutting
  • General Engineering

The apprenticeship

  • You will be supported in your studies towards an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, which together with the practical experience you gain, will provide you with the perfect platform for an exciting career ahead.
  • After completion of your apprenticeship, you will also be given the opportunity to complete further training.
  • You should have an interest in engineering, a certain amount of manual dexterity, excellent attention to detail, patience, a positive attitude, and plenty of enthusiasm.
  • Although working as part of a team, we are looking for someone who has initiative and can in time manage their own workload.
  • You must be punctual, reliable, flexible, adaptable and ready to rise to each new challenge.
